Since we are celebrating Christmas in July, I decided to start a couple of cards. The problem is I never seem to be finished with Christmas cards... the end of November always leaves me scrambling.
I went with cool blues here to distract me from the extreme heat we are getting.
For this one I used papers from the Winter Wonderland collection by Asuka Studio, who designs for Memory Place. This consists of the background and the ornament. I cut a bit of a window design from Bazzill Basics in color Jacaranda. The ribbon is a paper embellishment (BoBunny). Very cute, I think.
Card base is Bazzill Basics Taffy Card Shoppe.
I have always loved penquins. This sweet little stamp is from the first arrival of stamps I ordered when I opened the store. I have used it multiple times and in a variety of ways. I started with Studio Light paper, cut a snowflake border in blue. Stamp was colored with a mix of alcohol inks and distress markers. Then I used texture paste to create the ice stage. You cannot see in the photo, but glitter was added to the stage, the snowflakes and a few dots in the background.
Products used: Art Impressions Rubber Stamp,
Joy Crafts Snowflake Border Die,
Tim Holtz/Ranger Texture Paste, Rock Candy
Sprinkles and stickles,
Bazzill Basics Cardstock - Jacaranda and
Marshmallow Card Shoppe
Are you working on Christmas cards? Would love it if you shared!
Here are links to some of the products. My sweet little penquins and the snowflake border are not available, but we do have lots of other options. Don't forget, all Christmas stuff is on sale right now for 25% off.
