Valentines Day is coming up and I found myself with some extra time. I decided to do something a bit different and really like the results. These are small cards, just 4x4 inches. Card backgrounds were cut from brown paper bags which make for some fun texture. The hearts are cut from patterned rice paper from Stamperia. I used Mod Podge to adhere the rice paper to a scrap of the brown bag, then cut into heart shapes. I edged everything with distress ink, but you don`t have to, added tags and a few dots of Nuvo Jewel Drops, then attached to 4x4 kraft card bases from Docrafts. These will be perfect to tuck into a small box of chocolates or adorn a bouquet of flowers.
Here is what I used to create these cards, plus the brown paper bag, of course! That paper bag needed to reused anyway.... The stamped sentiments are from one of my seldom used stamp set from Heritage Makers.
