Spooky Halloween (Not really)

`It's said that All Hallows' Eve is one of the nights when the veil between the worlds is thin - and whether you believe in such things or not, those roaming spirits probably believe in you, or at least acknowledge your existence, considering that it used to be their own. Even the air feels different on Halloween, autumn-crisp and bright. ` - Erin Morgenstern

Black pumpkin Halloween card

According to an article on Parade, black pumpkins are usually associated with the spiritual world and the afterlife. How spooky is that? I chose a black pumpkin as the focus of this card. As I did not have a pumpkin die, I layered circle and oval shapes and added some fall leaves.

Products used: QuicKutz dies, Tim Holtz dies and distress ink, 49 and Market paper, Stephanie Bernard Ink Spray, Doodlebug paper and Bazzill cardstock.

Graphic 45 Halloween card

Keeping with a purple and black theme, this card was created with Graphic 45 Steampunk tags and Time to Flourish graphics. I added a witch hat and some spidery elements that originated from a mesh bag of oranges (well, if you can dream it - you can do it)

Other products used: QuicKutz die, Tim Holtz/Ranger distress inks, American Crafts paper and Bazzill cardstock.

Wishing you an eerie, spooky, hair-raising, spell-binding Halloween!
