The Creative Cook

There are amazing folks out there with generous hearts. Some card ideas to honor the humble dinner party Host, chef training instructor at college, volunteer at your local foodbank, favorite restaurant worker, mother or grandmother.

I chose a sheet of newly arrived P13 cardstock which is a fussy cut sheet of elements from the Around the Table collection. It is full of kitchen appliances, utensils and food items. Before I go any further, I want to tell you not to be intimidated with fussy cutting. You need a good pair of scissors and some time. I usually do my fussy cutting while watching television. It keeps my hands busy while doing an otherwise unproductive activity...

For the card above I selected a background from Carta Bella, removed a circle with a cutting die and attached it to some rose-colored cardstock. The sentiment is from P13 Four Seasons Spring sticker sheet. That was easy!

Here are some more cards:

The card background on card above is from P13 Four Season Spring collection. The shelves were a coincidence - I had cut some tags for a previous project and not cleared away my scraps, so here was this black piece, and it works perfectly! I distressed all the elements, layered them up, and attached a tag from P13 Sugar and Spice. I love the combination of colors!

This card above was created with background paper from Kaisercraft. Again, I distressed and layered the elements and added a sticker sentiment from BoBunny's Soiree collection.

All card bases are Bazzill Card Shoppe cardstock.

If you are searching for specific products use buttons on the menu at the top of the page, and make sure to check sale items, too. The Kaisercraft and BoBunny products I used on these cards are On Sale!
